£ 2022 British Pound Concept
Currency Concept Commission for Audi UK Magazine (NorthStar Publishing) Details: £5: Cloning and Stem Cell research. Cloning by somatic cell nuclear transfer was first successful in 1996 by a British team of scientists lead by Ian Wilmut and Keith Campbell at the Roislin Institute in Edinburgh, Scotland. £10: Graphene. The crystalline allotrope of carbon was first produced in 2003 by Andre Geim and Konstantin Novosolev (not British scientists). They realised their work with British gov funds at the University of Manchester and won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2010. Manchester now has the National Graphene Institute, focused on being the pre-eminent Graphene research center. Sir Colins Brodie was an early pioneer in what would become graphene research and his coat of arms is displayed. £20: The Internet. The World Wide Web was the invention of Sir Timothy John “Tim” Berners-Lee. In 1989, the English computer scientist made his revolutionary breakthroughs proposing an information management system (called and achieving connection between a client and server, via the internet. he developed his ideas at CERN, Switzerland based on the "Enquire" software program written by himself in 1980 that was in-turn based on a book called "Enquire Within Upon Everything" Published in London. £50: The British Space Program. Few people know of the success of the British Satellite program. including Aerial-1, the first UK satellite launched in 1962 or Prospero in 1971 which was (and remains) the first (and only) British satellite to have been launched successfully by a British rocket. The coming Twinkle Satellite built by SSTL, based in Guildford, Surrey (depiction shown in the center of the £50) will help discover and photograph exoplanets, and the Sabre Engine system (slated for completion in 2022) is being developed by Reaction Engines Limited. (REL) a British aerospace manufacturer based in Oxfordshire. Sabre will be the first single stage to orbit propulsion system. Allowing a jet like take off for orbital flight. All of these British Space feats.

2014 USD PROPOSAL
A rehauled banknote proposal for the United States of America created within the Master thesis design project "WORTH: The Aesthetics of Global Interest" while attending the Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst (Basel School of Design) and printed for the Diplom Exhibition in 2011. Inspired by the Swiss Franc's (CHF) ambitious redesign process (the currency is thoroughly redesigned every 20 years by way of contest) The goal was to develop a similar updated iconographic system that re-interprets the advancements and culture within the American society. This particular series plays on themes of theoretical / scientific discoveries and endeavors to connect them to achievement, our surroundings and the fundamental properties of life. FYI: I am American. Born and raised in Idaho (not so far from the Tetons)

STELLAR MEDIA LOGO
Asked to develop a brand for an international action sports and "adventure" media company. The name Stellar can be applied to both celestial and crystal bodies (specifically dealing with the structure of ice crystals for snow in this case) therefore the plan was to incase a spark of light that can be visually incorporated within a snowflake. The Logotype was developed to both compliment and contrast the crystaline structure with a modern and visually appealing feel.

WILL WISSMAN: LOGO
Logo/Branding Will Wissman a veritable visual powerhouse in the ski industry. World renowned for his prowess around a lens and adventure driven camera angles, he takes the art form to high creative levels at locals such as Alaska, Norway, India with some of the best skiers in the game. He has an intimate relationship with the mountains he shoots, but anyone who has ever hiked with him knows he's not shy in a boot path. I worked with him to translate this into a brand for his photography business. Bold, yet simple with a black and white color scheme to compliment his creations without stealing undue attention from the imagery.
Branding, Graphic Design,
A precursor to my banknote thesis in 2011, this concept played with ways to re-trigger or re-contextualize a monetary design that has lost it's visual cognizance with its subscribers through time and appears to have no significant landmark campaign in sight. It takes its cue from the obvious channel of warning label marketing in the quintessential "undesigned" tobacco package style. The goal was to implement phrases indicative of such labels, but gear it towards highlighting common problems created in the misuse of currency rather than the ires of smoking. The language attempts to use concise, profound sometimes biting language, but tries not to lean on irony, esotericism, or humor to brashly to achieve its goals, but involves elements of each. It was well received as a viable mean to an end during the thesis process, but ultimately was left as a footnote in the process book. I decided to exhibit it here to show it some daylight_

VARIOUS DEGREES OF SUSPENSION
Music Video As a personal challenge to develop a music video from scratch in 24 hours with a 2 man team with Jared Purrington (Country). This stipulated that all imagery (except country's signature logo) INCLUDING the music itself must be developed from scratch within the time period. The content was then edited together over a period of 3 additional days. The end result is a cocphany of moving images and a stationary contact point from which reveals a hypnotic synchronization to the melody.
